Wednesday, April 25, 2007; Personal Reflections (9/4/07)
Dear DIary,Today I read two articles, instead of one. They are: Id thieves new tricks and Why do fries taste so good?In Id thieves new tricks, it is stating the obvious. People can be so vulnerable that they believe everything they see or hear in unidentified e-mails or anonymous phone calls. Even IT savvys could fall into the trap. More people could be phised if they do not know of the current situation. In my opinion, people should be more aware of the situation and be more careful. In Why do fries taste so good, it tells us how people could be so tempted to eating thing that they know would be bad for them. I felt that I too am the victim of this situation and regret eating fries.

Dear Diary,
Today, I felt too bored reading 'The Phantom Of The Opera' that I traded with my friend Jia Yi for her Readers Digest. Because of my teachers, I understood many of the words. In an article in the book, a story of a girl touched me. She had a dog and like many other people, she loved it very much. This girl had blindness in her right eye. However, that dog was so special that because of the dog, her eyesight actually improved.I felt that love actually meant something to her, something wonderful, and probably to many others as well. I can relate to her story as I useed to have a pet and love it so much that I actually look forward to go home.

Dera diary,
I just finished reading Chapter 2 of 'The phantom of the opera'. Like always, it was difficult to understand the entire chapter. What I understand from the Chapter was that Raoul was a sailor the was spoilt by Phillipe.
In my opinion, like the one before was that the authop, if he is still alive, make books that is suitable for young readers like me. My feelings would probably be confused because I do not understand what the author is trying to convey.

Dear diary,
My teacher told the class that we have to do a project in groups of four about the alaming rates of the rise in sea levels, the depleting ozone layer and global warming. Seeing the world will come to an end, I wondered at what I could do to stop such thing to happen at my home planet. I vowed to use spray cans as little as possible, only open the fridge if necessary and use unleaded fuel in the car. I have no driving license but my father does.
I love my home planet as much as anyone else. Lets all prevent it together!

Dear Diary,Finally I got the chance to read 'The Phantom of The Opera'. I had high expectations of this book. It being a well known book. I was astonished by the language used in the book. It was poetic and dare I say it, DEEP.The words made my vocabulary limited. The first chapter was regarding James, Cecile, Giry and Sorelli. These are the few characters found in the first chapter of the book. The apparently saw 'The Opera Ghost' and described it as 'Death Head Phantom'.The book stated that 'The opera Ghost' actually existed. I do not believe in the presence of ghosts. In my opinion. the book should have made in the young adults version so that people like me can undrestand the book like many others had.

Dear Diary,Today, I brought 'The Phantom of The Opera' a well known novel. My best friends, Aishah and Emelia made a three way exchange, and I ended up with 'Harry Potter & The half-blood prince' Emelia's book. I read the first chapter and sad to say.. IT was boring! I've always thought that Harry Potter books would be interesting but it ended up being boring. I almost dozed off reading the chapter!I read about a new magic minister at Hogwartsb because the old one was fired. He was fired because of a villain Lord Voldemort being 'alive'.In my opinion, I should not ohave read this book because it is not my 'forte'. I do not like this type of books. I'd rather read the books about teenagers and their lives being adolescense.

Sunday, April 1, 2007; My dream Vacation.

I would love to go to Japan. All my life the furthest country I've ever visited was Indonesia. My mode of transportation to Indonesia was an hour and a half ride on a ferry. I liked going to Indonesia but I feel that an experience in Japan would be interesting and I LOVE eating sushi. In Japan, an abundance amount of sushi would be found everywhere.
Just last week, our discipline master, Mr Goh, was informing the students about the trip to Japan during our annual 'Speech and Prize Giving' day. I was excited as until this very day I dreamed of going to Japan. I understoo that my father was saving money to buy my dream gift. I asked my father whether I could go but he refused an said that I could go maybe next year.
I heard in Japan the Japanese loved reading Mangga and watching anime. Which also happens to be my favourite past-time. I also like Originally kimono indicated all types of clothing, but it has come to mean specifically the full-length traditional garment worn by women, men, and children.[wikipedia]. Here a kimono could cost around hundreds but maybe in Japan a kimono could cost cheaper. I also loved the sights and sceneries that looked wonderful anytime. Some sceneries include the scenery of Mount Fuji, their Miniature Shrine and their Hot Springs.
Japan also is one of the most technology-oriented country in the world. With all the technology, I also would love to play with the things they invented. I would definitely love to go to Japan!
