In other countries,selling of organs are neither legal nor illegal.To sell organs was easy.All they had to do is to set up an internet website and promote the organs.Some wealthy families who really need it would buy it from them.But in Singapore selling of organs are illegal.Instead,the human organ transplant act or the 'HOTA' was created.Everybody aged between 21-70 will have their organs donated upon death.Everybody except for muslims and the people who opted out.Some people feels thatthey should have an opt in scheme rather than the opposite.I felt that the opt in scheme is more fairer rather that what they're doing now.If there is an opt in scheme,some people might not have heard of this so they never opt in but they have the intention of opting in.Even there is not an opt in or opt out scheme,some lives might be saved.
